THE PROGRESSIVE VOICE OF REFORM

LOW IN AMERICA

In July of 1994, NORML, one of the oldest and well known of the Drug Law Reform movement organizations imploded. Some, to this day,  think it was done on purpose. We will attempt to find out why 5 of NORML's former Directors including it's former Corporate Treasurer sued the organization over what  appears to be a "hostile corporate take-over".

A long simmering feud between the organization's "Extremist Right Wing Elitists" and it's grass roots activists split wide open resulting in a coup that toppled the Board of Directors and in the process destroyed the organization's credibility.

The only source of information is the evidence files and depositions from the now settled case. For those who may not be aware, in most jurisdictions court records are public unless they are specifically sealed by the Trial judge. This happens to be true everywhere in the US except in Washington, DC. This absurdity, at present, has kept us from revealing the true facts about this incident.

We leave it to you to decide whether or not this was a simple case of gross corporate mismanagement or malfeasance, fraud and theft.
